Corrugated Metal Roofing
This metal is created in a wavy pattern, much like the inside of a cardboard box. This feature allows the roof to be tougher than some of the other metals. It is typically noticed in industrial buildings, and less on homes, but certainly can be considered an option.

Standing Seam Metal
Lastly, let’s look at standing seam metal roofing. This is one of the most common, if not the most common, of metal roofing. It is considered a “lifetime roof” considering it lasts from 40 to 70 years. It can withstand harsh climates and up to 140 mph winds. They are fire-resistant and require less maintenance than other metal roofing.
Repairs on a standing seam metal roof may be more difficult than on flatter metal roofs. Be sure to discuss this when you consider your metal roofing.
